Cross Campus, a Santa Monica co-working and business event venue, hired FoundationAC to turn a 10,000 square foot manufacturing building into their new creative work space.

The intricate engineering of the building’s original arched bow truss roof inspired us to design the new offices with a unique saw-tooth ceiling line, not only to enhance the sculptural quality of the space, but also to connect the smaller interior spaces with the larger common space through the use of new clerestory windows in the saw-tooth ceilings.

At night when the saw-tooth clerestory windows are illuminated from within the offices, the glowing windows have a lantern-like effect, creating a warm and inviting collaborative work environment.
